Wild Gears started in 2013 as a passion project.  I was passionate about spirograph art and had reached the edge of what I could do with my cheap set and couldn't find anything better on the market, so I started learning how to design and make my own gear sets so I would have better tools for my art.

I shared them first as a kickstarter campaign hoping that a few other people would be interested and had a successful campaign.  Over the next years I've run two more kickstarter campaigns for major revisions and improvements to gear sets as well as to develop new gear sets.  In 2019 I bought a big laser cutter and started doing my own manufacturing of Wild Gears; previously it was done by Ponoko, an excellent company that specializes in on demand fabrication.

Wild Gears are the biggest and best spirograph drawing products in the world; driven to excellence because that is what I crave.
